EOI for Safer Community Coaches Pilot Programmes

The London Borough of Barnet plans to set up a Community Coaches pilot scheme for Safer Communities which will use brief interventions led by community volunteers to prevent people becoming involved in crime and antisocial behaviour, where a risk has been identified. The project will build on the learning and experience of the current community coaches model developed for vulnerable families and adults – but will be managed as a separate pilot and will have key differences in terms of the specific target group. As a pilot one of the key aims is to try out a new approach with flexibility built-in.
